Text Box: Only submit to Tilt if you have not yet had a chapbook or full length collection of work published. This includes any ‘self-published’ collections! We strongly urge you to be honest, if we find out later that you have deceived us with regards to this rule, we will speak loudly about it and use your name. You have been given fair warning! Text Box: Tilt Press does not offer monetary compensation at this time. Those manuscripts selected for publication will receive ten free copies.



We only accept electronic submissions. Please email your manuscript as a .doc attachment to submit@tiltpress.com. Include your full name in the subject line followed by the title of your manuscript, e.g. - Jill Smith—Bridges Under Water

Send between 15-25 pages of poetry, numbered.

Include two title pages: One with the title of your manuscript, full name, and contact information. One with only the title of your manuscript.

Include a table of contents and an acknowledgements page. We do accept individual poems within the manuscript that have been previously published in journals, but please acknowledge those publications.

In the body of your email, please include a cover letter and biography.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome, as long as we are notified immediately if your manuscript has been selected for publication elsewhere.

Response times will vary. It will take no more than three months to respond to your submission.  Always feel free to email the editors with any queries.
